Missing videos

The will to prepare

It’s been said that winning is everything; however, without preparing to win you’ll never get there.

I have learned over the years that people always have enough time for what they really want to do.

When a person does not prepare for an upcoming competition, test, etc. they are ensuring their own failure; but what the heck, they really don’t care that much about it any way.

It would be best for them to get out of that whole thing all together, rather than give it less than their best on a consistent basis.

Just a thought!

 

One of the first things I remember  Coach Greg Glassman teaching in the early days of CrossFit was training for the unknown and the unknowable.

How often do you hear much about that now?

People don’t like change, especially sudden change, unless it directly benefits them.

In my opinion, it is vitally important, especially now as chaos and uncertainty grows around the world.

Is this doom and gloom?

No, it is just being the most prepared you can possibly be when unwanted unexpected changes come your way.

Here’s where some might get off track with this.

They can run, jump, climb, swim, lift, throw, etc. very well; but can they mentally handle really bad news or  a sudden catastrophy?

Mental toughness and clear thinking can be  huge assets when bad things suddenly happen, especially without warning.

Emotions can override these important asset if we are not careful during highly stressful times.

Nothing good can come of that.

Train your mind to be tough and resilient before bad things happen!
